  1. Check to see that the thermostat is set to the heating mode and
    temperature is turned high enough.
  2. Check electric switch near furnace to make sure it is in the ON position.
  3. If your furnace is equipped with a standing pilot, make a visual check to
    see if the pilot is burning.  If not, follow directions on your furnace for
    proper lighting instructions.
  4. Reset the furnace by turning the thermostat to the OFF position and then
    back again to the heating setting.
  5. Furnace blower doors must be in place, as most models are equipped
    with door safety buttons.
  6. Check for dirty filters – will cause short cycling of unit.
